Collaboration
MBBI strongly encourages its members to collaborate to make deals happen. To re-enforce the importance placed on collaboration, awards are given each January for the prior year. These awards are presented to each deal team consisting of an intermediary and one or more M&A professional service-providers (i.e., a lender, an attorney, a financial advisor, an accountant, etc.) who have worked together on a single transaction. To be eligible for the award, the nominated intermediary and M&A professional(s) must be members of MBBI and must have successfully closed a transaction during the year. Note that the transaction can be comprised of non-MBBI members along with the intermediary and M&A professional(s) that are nominated, but such nonmembers are not eligible for nomination.
